Work from the 1950’s includes simple arrangements of objects on a table, fruit in a bowl, flowerpots, and other garden relics. In later years, having noticed their popularity at the time, Jon tapped into a market for flower arrangements of various kinds. These were an opportunity for him to relish the laying on of the pigment and to create harmonies through design.
